Icewear opens new stores in Stykkishólmur and Seyðisfjörður
Great adventures deserve great stops for souvenirs along the way.
Now, anyone traveling across Eastern Iceland or exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula has two new Icewear locations to welcome them. With new stores open in Stykkishólmur and Seyðisfjörður, you can get the gear you need and the gifts to take the memories home with you.
With these store openings, Icewear now operates more than 35 stores across Iceland, making it easy to find quality hiking clothing, traditional wool sweaters, weather-resistant accessories and authentic Icelandic products wherever your travels take you.
Stykkishólmur: Harbor town and ferry link to the Westfjords#
If your itinerary includes the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and the Baldur ferry crossing to the Westfjords, the new Icewear store in Stykkishólmur is ideally placed.
This harbor town is considered the “gateway” to one of Iceland’s most scenic regions, and the new 2,150-sq.-ft. Icewear store is ready for anyone coming through. Along with Icewear favorites (like Icelandic wool sweaters, jackets, hiking pants, base layers, bags, and accessories) you’ll find seven types of Icewear shoes and a plethora of Icelandic souvenirs.
And if you need a quick break and bite before boarding the ferry, you can grab a coffee, soft drink or a sweet treat in the store café.
For traveling purposes, you can even purchase your ferry tickets to the Westfjords right there at the store.

Another warm welcome in East Iceland#
Travelers arriving or departing on the Norröna ferry now have an Icewear store waiting for them in Seyðisfjörður, too, which opened on July 15.
Just 17 miles from Egilsstaðir and the Ring Road, Seyðisfjörður is often the first or last town that international visitors cross on their trajectories. This makes it the ideal stop to stock up on Icelandic clothing, travel gear and souvenirs.
Inside the new 1,610-sq.-ft. store, you’ll find Icewear accessories like beanies and gloves, rainwear, children’s clothing, seven types of Icewear shoes, and souvenirs. If knitting is part of your Iceland experience (or you know someone who would love authentic Icelandic materials), you’ll also find a selection of Icelandic yarn.
Housed partly within a historic former bookstore, this store offers a shopping experience as charming as the town itself.
Wherever your adventure takes you#
Every Icewear store is a hub where you can prepare for changing weather, replace a forgotten layer, find a thoughtful gift, or pause before the next stretch of your adventure.
And now, at these two new stores, Icewear is ready to welcome you.
Be Warm. Be Well.
