The pattern is written in two ways; to knit the sweater the old Icelandic wool sweater style (bottom up) and to knit the sweater top down. It is important to have the right gauge to determine the given size. Adjust needle size to match gauge. METHOD The sweater is knitted in the round with stockinette stitch and stranded knitting on the yoke. The ribbings at the bottom of the body, sleeves and the collar are knitted in moss stitch.
