Inspired by a mountain range in a Önundarfjörður, one of the Westfjords in Iceland. The name, Hafið eða fjöllin (The sea or the mountains, is a reference to a local song. This silk version has a close sister, the woolen version. SIZES 1, 2, 3 (4, 5) 6, 7, 8 Bust 86 94 102 110 118 126 134 142 Yoke (front) 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Sleeve circumference (top) 27 31 33 37 39 41 43 45 Length from underarm 33 33 34 34 35 35 36 36 Sleeve length from underarm 44 44 45 45 46 46 47 47 YARN Icewear garn, Alpaca Silk (50g/200m) and Mohair Silk (25g/250m) Quantity Alpaca Silk: 165, 180, 195 (210, 225) 240, 255, 270 g Mohair Silk (all shades in total): 70, 75, 80 (85, 90) 100, 105, 110 g NEEDLES Circular needles nr 4 (main) and nr 3.5 (ribbing) GAUGE Stockinette st in the round: 20 sts = 10 cm. METHOD Knit from the top down and separated into body and sleeves after the yoke. The mountain pattern is made with Estonian Vikkel stitch, two-stitch cables. Colour variations are made by using different shades of the thread held with the main color, here done with 3 shades but can be more/fewer. * Available in English and Icelandic
