Mohair Silk is a blend of mohair and silk. Mohair wool is exceptionally soft and warm, and the silk adds a unique sheen to the yarn. When mohair and silk are spun together, the result is a soft and durable yarn. The silk allows the garment to drape beautifully against the body, while the mohair thread provides softness and excellent insulation. The yarn is often used as an additional strand in sweaters and hats, but it is also used on its own for lighter garments. Attributes: Content: 65% mohair / 35% silk Weight/Length: 0.88 oz – 273 yd (25 g – 250 m) Needle size: US 2.5 – 8 (2.5 -5 mm) Gauge: 4x4 in (10x10 cm) = 23 sts and 33 rows Weight: Lace Oeko-tex certified Care: Hand wash at low temperature (max 30°C (86°F)). Gently squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry.
