Icewear’s statement on the fire at our headquarters
Icewear’s staff would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all those who provided assistance, help and support after a massive fire broke out at our headquarters on 5 April. We would particularly like to thank the Reykjavík Fire Department for its rapid and professional response and its diligent efforts in very difficult conditions. Our staff and numerous other individuals and businesses were understandably very shocked, and it is fortunate that no one sustained serious injuries. The firefighters and other emergency services did a sterling job, for which we are truly thankful.
We would also like to inform our customers that all Icewear shops remain open as normal and their day-to-day operations continue unchanged, with the exception of the shop at Miðhraun, where the fire occurred.
Our staff has already reacted by speeding up the production process for new products and expediting deliveries from suppliers in any way possible to ensure a good product range in our retail and wholesale activities.
Icewear would like to extend thanks for all the positive support shown by individuals and businesses in helping us get back to normal.
Thank you!
The staff of Icewear and Drífa ehf
