Simple adult wool socks SIZES (shoe sizes): Womens: 5.5-7 / 7.5-9 / 10-11 US Mens: 4-5.5 / 6-8 / 8.5-10.5 / 11-12.5 US Euro sizes: 36-38 / 39-41 / 42-44 / 45-47 EU YARN Saga Yrja from Icewear, 80% wool/ 20% poly NEEDLES US 6 (4 mm) double pointed needles GAUGE 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm) = 21 sts and 28 sts in stockinette stitch on needles US 6 (4 mm) METHOD The socks are knitted in the round top down. Beginning with a ribbing; knit 2 sts, purl 2 sts and then it is only knit after the ribbing is finished. The type of the heel used for the socks is called Halldóras heel (Halldóruhæll) and decreases are made at the toe area. Each size covers 3 shoe sizes, the only difference is the length of the foot.
