Christmas mittens knitting pattern

The idea was to design mittens that warm the heart as they keep cold hands cozy throughout the winter months. Each mitten is decorated with three Latvian braids, but it’s easy to omit them or reduce the number if preferred. SIZES Women’s size. MATERIALS Baby Wool from Icewear yarn or Arctic from Icewear yarn. One skein = 50 g (175 m / 191 yd). Color 1: #9005-2026 Red – 1 skein. Color 2: #9005-1000 White – 1 skein. NEEDLES Double-pointed needles size 2.5 mm and 3 mm. GAUGE 17 stitches and 17 rounds = 5 cm in pattern stitch using 3 mm needles. METHODS Knitted around, from the cuff up, using double-band stranded knitting and decorated with Latvian braids. *Available in Icelandic, English, and Norwegian.
