Mittens knitting pattern

GAUGE 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm) = 26 sts and 38 rounds in pattern knitting on US 2.5 (3 mm). It is important to have the right gauge to determine the given size. Adjust needle size to match gauge. METHOD Begin knitting a 5½ in (14 cm) long cuff, that will be folded once to hug the wrist nice and tight. The body of the mittens and the thumbs are decorated with a beautiful pattern. A gusset is made to shape the thumb. The mitten pattern is written for two sizes; womens S/M and L.
